Here's the preliminary sketch of a future cover for Fantomen. The image, when it comes to The Phantom, is as iconographic as it could be. I hope you like it.
In the next few days, I'll post the following stages of the creation of this cover. There will also be a surprise as per the artist who is going to render it in color. Your comments, as always. are welcome.
("maestri" fa troppo veccchio?)
Thanks for your comments, Andreas and Gio'. Please, allow me to answer in English to both of you. The preliminary sketch was drawn with a regular HB pencil on a regular sheet of paper. (A4 format = 8.5 x 11 inches) And... yes, the title "maestro" makes anyone sound too old and stuffy.(In my case... waaay too old and almost embalmed, like a Mummy;-)
This is the place where you will periodically find a variety of news, artwork previews, and commentary pertaining my work on Lee Falk's "The Phantom." (Currently published by Egmont in Norway and Sweden; Frew in Australia and New Zealand and Hermes Press in the United States and Canada) Other projects will also be spotlighted whenever they become news-worthy. Feel free to subscribe to this blog, write comments and offer suggestions. Come back soon!
